A practical checklist for checking part number, condition, photos, and fitment before starting a seller conversation.

Start with the exact part number
Match the listed part number, normalized part number, brand, and any supersession notes against the equipment or repair order before relying on a keyword match.
Confirm condition and quantity
Ask the seller whether the part is new, used, rebuilt, remanufactured, core, or unknown, and confirm whether the listed quantity is still available.
Use photos as evidence, not proof
Photos help identify visible damage, labels, casting marks, connectors, and packaging, but final fitment and condition still need seller confirmation.
