Listing rules

Seller listings must be accurate, authorized, and safe for buyer inquiry.

These rules define the V1 pilot standard for parts-first inventory with trucks, trailers, and equipment as adjacent categories. Listings are marketing placements and lead capture pages, not online sales offers processed by Parts Masters.

Allowed V1 inventory

  • Heavy-duty parts, truck parts, trailer parts, commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment approved by Parts Masters.
  • Listings from Parts Masters inventory, approved sellers, approved supplier feeds, partner APIs, or other sources where reuse is legally allowed.
  • Pilot categories may be limited, expanded, paused, or reordered based on supply quality and buyer demand.

Required seller authority

  • The seller must own, control, broker with authority, or have written authorization to market the listed item.
  • The seller must have permission to reuse submitted photos, product descriptions, specifications, fitment notes, and documents.
  • Listings copied from another website, catalog, supplier feed, or marketplace require explicit reuse permission or another lawful basis approved by Parts Masters.
  • Parts Masters eBay store listings may be imported only through an owner-authorized export or approved API workflow, with source URLs preserved for review.

Accuracy requirements

  • Price labels, quote status, stock numbers, part numbers, VINs, serial numbers, condition, location, mileage, hours, and availability must be current and not misleading.
  • Fitment, compatibility, interchange, and application notes must be marked as seller-provided or source-provided when they are not independently verified.
  • Known defects, missing pieces, salvage status, title issues, core requirements, freight restrictions, or inspection limitations must be disclosed.

Prohibited listing behavior

  • No counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, embargoed, recalled, misrepresented, or unauthorized inventory.
  • No bait-and-switch pricing, unavailable inventory presented as available, misleading stock photos, or copied content without rights.
  • No payment instructions that imply Parts Masters checkout, escrow, purchase protection, or transaction guarantee.

Moderation and removal

Parts Masters may edit, hold, pause, reject, archive, or remove listings and seller profiles to protect buyers, sellers, source rights, search quality, and marketplace reputation. Repeat or serious violations may lead to seller suspension.
